The traditional out-swing Casement and Awning window is a Tudor Revival creation inspired by the authentic architecture of Tudor England in the early 16th century. One of the most recognizable elements of Tudor architecture is the use of leaded glass panels within heavy mullioned Tudor windows. The supreme elegance of the dark solid wood construction matches perfectly with the period house, giving it a rare distinction. Designed with the highest standards of quality, this premium window product exudes an enchanting charm.
The push-out casement window is operated by using a solid brass cam lock and friction stay. The operable sash is assembled with mortise and tenon joinery and is supported by solid brass screw-in butt hinges.
Options include a decorative Colonial, Diamond or Tudor-style geometric muntin pattern that combines a Leaded glass panel within an Insulated Glass Unit (triple glazed).

All our windows have to go through a rigorous process of testing and approvals. To pass the highest performance standards, Belisle’s products are tested, both in our R&D department and at an independent certified testing laboratory, under extreme weather simulations. All our products are rigorously tested for air and water infiltration as well as structural and energy performance.
Because we at Belisle are committed to receiving the best ratings, we are proud of the results from the many testing parties to which we submit our products – NFRC, Energy Star, or AAMA.
It is extremely important that you install our wood products within 30 days after receiving. We recommend that you install our windows and doors plumb, level and square, as the state of art. Prior to being installed, they must be kept into a heated and humidity controlled area. This is to prevent any damages that may occur if not stored properly. Wood is a living material and must be treated as such. Until you have closed the walls, you want to make sure that your windows and doors are well prepared for the tough life that they will have.
All surfaces must be painted or stained before installation. You should always take advantages of our unique paint shop. We can finish all our products piece by piece prior to assembly to give you the maximum protection and make you save time and money. You must also make sure that maintenance is done on a periodic schedule. The secret to keeping your wood products in pristine condition is to keep the finish on the wood surface in good condition and always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.
The hardware should also be inspected periodically. Most of the hardware we supply can be easily cleaned with soap and water only. You should also lubricate the hardware with Petroleum Jelly or Lithium Grease.
It is also possible that you will see some condensation at the bottom of your new windows. Remember that they are far more energy efficient than the other used to be. To get rid of this modern phenomenon, you should look at reducing your humidity level inside the house.
Our outswing casement or awning windows basically comes in two standard model: Single and Pair. Pair models can be ordered with one or two operating sashes and will always get a 1 3/8” central post for maximum strength.
